Dear Shri Lalu Prasad ji,

We welcome the recent decision taken by your Government to honour the UPA commitment made in the CMP regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill by introducing and facilitating its  passage during this winter session of Parliament.   You had assured us when we met you in May that this would be done and we would like to express our appreciation of your efforts.

We would request you to do everything in your power to ensure that this Bill is passed so that democratic institutions in our country become even more representative than they have been so far.

Yours Sincerely,
