The ex-service men of our country have been justly demanding one-rank-one-pension. For this they are sitting in a dharna at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi for last three months and now they have started an indefinite hunger strike. Today a seven-member delegation from AIDWA comprising Malini Bhattacharya (President, AIDWA), Jagmati Sangwan (General Secretary, AIDWA), Tapasi Praharaj (National Secretary, AIDWA), Asha Sharma (CEC Member, AIDWA) , Anjana (Treasurer , Delhi JMS) and Maimoona Mollah (Vice president, Delhi JMS) went to the place of dharna and conveyed AIDWA support and solidarity to their legitimate demand . On behalf of the delegation Jagmati Sangwan greeted the gathering. AIDWA demands that central government led by Shri Narendra Modi should fulfill their demand without any further delay as was promised by Shri Modi and BJP in their election manifesto.
AIDWA also strongly condemns the most brutal and inhuman attack on ex-servicemen on dharna, by the police on the eve of Independence Day. We demand that the Prime Minister should apologies for this shameful attack.
