Dear Friend,
The All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) along with all democratic and secular forces has been exposing the anti-women policies of the BJP-RSS led NDA government. Women’s rights have suffered greatly because of the Manuwadi and neoliberal policies of the Modi government which have resulted in rising hunger, malnutrition and unemployment. The politics of hatred has led to targeted hate crimes and violence, especially against the women from minorities, Dalit and Adivasi communities.
As a part of its ongoing fight for women’s emancipation and equality in twenty-six states of the country, the AIDWA is holding a National Convention to call upon all democratic sections to unite to uphold the principles of secularism, democracy and justice. The Convention will be held in Delhi on 17 August 2023. Women who have been adversely affected by the policies of the Central Government will narrate their experiences about the devastation it has caused in their lives and their struggles against it. The convention will be inaugurated by Brinda Karat.
We invite you to this Convention in solidarity with the struggles of all the women victims. We must unitedly resist the attacks of the BJP-RSS government and challenge these dark forces who are out to destroy our Constitution and nation.
Venue: Harkishan Singh Surjeet Bhawan
Date: 17 August 2023
Time: 11 am to 4 pm
Looking forward to your participation,
