Comrade Bibha Ghosh Goswami, a senior leader of AIDWA, West Bengal, who was vice president of the organisation in West Bengal from 1974-1979 and a member of AIDWA CEC from 1981 breathed her last this morning at the age of 88. She was an extremely popular leader and was active in the teachers' movement and in the movement for women's cooperatives. She also represented Nabadwip constituency (SC) in West Bengal in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth Loksabha as a CPI(M) member. Universally respected for her simplicity and firmness in her political and social ideals, she also had a wonderful voice, sang songs and was an enthusiastic cultural activist. We dip the AIDWA flag to pay our last respects.
Red salute, comrade Bibha Ghosh Goswami!
