The All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) dips its flag to pay homage to Maidul Islam Midya, DYFI activist from Bankura, West Bengal who succumbed to his injuries sustained in the brutal attack by the police on a peaceful rally of students and youth o February 11. The rally was organised jointly by SFI-DYFI for educational and employment demands.
AIDWA condemns the assault on democratic rights in West Bengal by the repressive, fascistic Mamata Banerjee-TMC regime. AIDWA with all the democratic forces in the country resolves to continue the battle against unprincipled and violent politics of the BJP-RSS at the centre and TMC in the state.
AIDWA sends heartfelt condolences to Maidul’s family and vows that we shall not allow his martyrdom to go in vain.
