Growing Manuvadi Attacks on Women's Rights

20 Jul 2021

From anti-conversion laws, to surveilling women for their “security,” the BJP-RSS governments at the centre and states has been devising various methods to restrict women’s movement and freedom. Behind this is a deep rooted Manuvadi ideology which seeks to revert the progress made by women's movements and reinforce the subordinate status of women by denying equal rights. Subhashini Ali, Vice-President of AIDWA, talks about these Manuvadi attacks and the resistance of women's movements against these attacks.
