But both men and women police beat up many of them, tore their blouses and kurtas and then arrested 151 women and put them in Police lock up in lalbazar
Among the arrested were AIDWA All India President Malini Bhattacharya, West Bengal President and Secretary Anju Ghosh, Koninika Ghosh, Rekha Goswami, Minoti Ghosh and many others. Later in the evening, they were released unconditionally
