A huge Aidwa rally in Kolkata consisting of many women who gave resistance in W .B panchayat elections and we're deprived of their electoral rights, was stopped by police near mayo road.

A huge Aidwa rally in Kolkata consisting of many women who gave resistance in wb panchayat elections and we're deprived of their electoral rights, was stopped by police near mayo road. But the women broke the barricades and say down in peaceful when prevented from going towards assembly house. But both men and women police beat up many of them, tore their blouses and kurtas and then arrested 151 women and put them in Police lock up in lalbazar

Among the arrested were AIDWA All India President Malini Bhattacharya, West Bengal President and Secretary Anju Ghosh, Koninika Ghosh, Rekha Goswami, Minoti Ghosh and many others. Later in the evening, they were released unconditionally
