To,
Shri Narendra Modi
Prime Minister of India
New Delhi.
Pradhan Mantriji,
We are deeply concernedabout the reportsthat we are getting from various parts of the country that the promises made by the government to the people are not being fulfilled.
Millions of the rural and urban poor do not have any money. They are in very serious financial conditions due to the unusual situation that has developed after the COVID 19 outbreak.Their health, life and security should be of prime concern to the State.
Your government has made promises of giving free food grains, pulses, etc to the poor. Free ration grains have not reached the vulnerable sections. Fuel is required for cooking food. Refilling of cooking gas cylinders is impossible for the poor in this situation of the lockdown. Along with free rations, gas cylinders must also be distributed free of cost for 3 months to tide over the crisis, sinceUjjwala Gas beneficiaries do not include all the poor families. The huge taxes collected on petroleum products by the central government must be used for this purpose.
We, therefore demand that the government must immediately:
1. Distribute free rations, vegetables, milk, drinking water, soaps, sanitisersfor all vulnerable sections of society.
2. Give free gas cylinders to all for 3 months.
3. SendRs 5000 to all the poor rural and urban families.
