What

The jatha organised jointly by the Punjab and Haryana units of the AIKS, CITU, AIAWU, AIDWA, DYFI and SFI reached the Singhu border on March 23 after traversing around 90 kms on foot. The vehicle jatha started on March 19 from Khatkar Kalan in Punjab, the birthplace of Bhagat Singh. It passed through Kurukshetra and Karnal and reached Panipat on March 20. The jatha turned into a padayatra from Panipat.  Hundreds of men and women participated enthusiastically in this jatha. Numerous meetings were held on the way. Crossing Samalkha, Sonepat, Kundli, Manesar and Palwal, it reached Singhu on March 23. This jatha was coordinated by CITU leader Jai Bhagwan. It was also led by leaders of AIKS - Major Singh Punnewal, Dharampal Seal; CITU - Anand Sharma, Sunita; AIAWU - Jagmal Singh; AIDWA - Savita, Asha Rani, Subhash Mattoo, Jaraso, Nirmala; SFI - Vinod Gill. AIAWU general secretary B Venkat, AIKS joint secretary Badal Saroj, AIDWA general secretary Mariam Dhawale, joint secretary Asha Sharma and Delhi state treasurer Papiya Majumdar greeted the jatha and praised the jatha participants, many of whose feet were bruised with blisters, for bravely carrying forward the banner of revolt.
