AIDWA strongly condemns the video being circulated in the campaign of the UDF candidate from Kannur, Kerala, Mr. Sudhakaran where he villifies not only his rival from the Left Democratic Front, Com P K Sreemathi teacher, but women in general by saying that women are not fit to go to the Parliament and that therefore no one should waste their votes by supporting them. People should resoundingly defeat the UDF candidate who has shown scant respect for our Constitution and exposed his opposition to gender equality.

The All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA) congratulates the women of Kerala for the success of the historic Women's Wall on January 1. This Women's Wall extended for nearly 650 Km from Kasargod in the north to Thiruvananthapuram in the south.

  • AIDWA condemns Bipin Rawat’s Statement on Women in the Army
    18 Dec 2018

The All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) strongly condemns the totally unwarranted sexist remarks recently made by Army Chief Bipin Rawat on the question of women being inducted into combat roles in the army. While AIDWA is wholly opposed to the brazen militarism that high-ups in the army are found to voice frequently in public in recent times, it is even more obnoxious to find them exposing with impunity their utterly insulting and warped attitude not only to women aspiring towards a military career but to women in general.
